Ronnie Ivy was named Percussion Coordinator for Heritage High School in May 2009. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Ivy worked in the East cluster of Plano for 2 years. His responsibilities there consisted of facilitating the Clark drumline/percussion ensemble (9/10th grade feeder to Plano East Senior High), percussion at 2 middle school feeders to Clark HS, and maintaining a private lesson studio of over 60 students. |

Mr. Ivy's responsibilities at Heritage include directing the Heritage drumline/percussion ensemble and assisting in every aspect of the band program at Heritage High School. He also spends a majority of his time working with future Heritage band members at the middle school feeders. Mr. Ivy is not only involved in Heritage High School, but he also continues to consult and write for Clark High School and many top high schools throughout the United States. |

He holds the Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana where he studied percussion extensively with Mr. Kenneth Green. He is an active clinician, adjudicator, and performer throughout the United States and holds professional memberships in the Texas Music Educators Association, Percussive Arts Society, MENC: Music Educator's National Conference, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. |
